In a four-hour workshop, the gannaca Think Tank will examine heavy and weightless products as well as analogue and digital models in detail. The examination will focus on the quality of the materials used – commodities, advanced materials, and processing components – and their particularities.

Consequently, wherever differences and frictions occur, tools will be designed enabling us to understand, present, and express distinctive features and discrepancies between the digital and the analogue. This will help us negotiate constructively in a distinctly new, hybrid reality of common denominators.

The workshop also follows a superordinate goal: to clarify the nature and consequences of a revolution whose effects do not manifest in the traditional way of upheaval and refurbishment in local and material events, but are happening by linking and digitalizing the existing as well as the future conditions. Thus, a reconditioning is taking place that presents the horizons of generations differing in their (techno)logical experience and brings to mind their respective potential.
