Stephan Urbach

Stephan Urbach

Stephan Urbach, born in the 1980s in the middle of nowhere, is is now living in Berlin. He has learned as a bankers clerk after he studied history and German, but he found this job rather boring and went on to AOL. During this time he started as an ACTA-activist for the Pirate Party Germany and joined Telecomix. Since the beginning of the Arab Spring he was working with TCX on free communication for people in Egypt, Libya and Syria. After a burnout he took a step away from practical activism. He is holding lectures in different contexts and about different topics - but all related to free communication, solidarity and what is called "internet culture". Sometimes, he is not wearing pants and reading books.
