Rachida Ziani

Rachida Ziani (b. 1982) is a French artist who began her career as an artist by studying illustration and etching at EPIAR, the International School of Contemporary Art, La Villa Arson, in Nice. Later she became interested in music and sound, especially in connection with mechanical devices and the automatons and tricks used in abstract cinema and magical performances. She now holds a BA in sound and visual arts from the Interfaculty Artscience in the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague. Since September 2008 she has been collaborating with Dutch artist Dewi de Vree on the project Elektrolab. Rachida currently lives and works in The Hague, NL.
