A MAZE. presents Games Culture Circle (GCC). Founded in 2009, GCC is a live talkshow hosted by Uke Bosse. GCC will feature artists, game designers, performers, film directors and other players from the contemporary media and arts scene, who will discuss digital games culture in an interdisciplinary setting. Andreas Lange, Director of the Computerspielemuseum Berlin, is the resident expert who will contribute his knowledge and experience to the debate. GCC is not an academic format but focuses on the exchange of experiences, opinions and visions. The event is interested in games, the people who play them and the emotions they elicit. Digital games have a significant influence on art and design, film and music, and increasingly they also structure players’ experience of everyday life. GCC aims to create a forum to tell these stories.
The event will take place in German and English. The Games Culture Circle is funded by Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg.
.HBC is art project space housed in the former Hungarian Cultural Center on Karl-Liebnecht-Str, with space for large-scale installations and parties.
