Ilana Halperin. Stones

Parallel to the exhibition Hand Held Lava at the Schering Stiftung, the Berlin Museum of Medical History of the Charité will show the exhibition Ilana Halperin. Stones, funded by the Schering Stiftung. In this project, the artist will have a new focus: the geology of humans and animals in the stones produced by the body itself (gall, bladder, kidney stones).

The Ernst Schering Foundation was founded in 2002 as an independent non-profit foundation promoting science, culture and projects at the interface of art and science. It facilitates the exchange of methods and modes of operation, as well as a more fundamental dialogue between artists and scientists about socially relevant topics. The foundation encourages interdisciplinary discourses by hosting exhibitions, talks and workshops in its project room.
