Fatmi, a Moroccan, draws a striking, sensual picture ofthe transience ofearthly things. Accessible metaphors and a dark soundtrack dominate the two-part work without detriment to the transcendental nature of death. He succeeds in addressing the subject of death and dying without resorting to hackneyed symbols and the usual banalities.
