CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS - The Wanted and For Sale Office

transmedaile.11 are working with the kom.post collective to create an artistic intervention at the festival in February. kom.post want to involve you in the creation process and are looking for creative, enthusiastic, dedicated people who would like to get involved. You must be available to attend workshops in Berlin from 17-31 January and take part in the festival 1-6 February. Free festival passes will be available for volunteers involved in this project.

Kom.post is an interdisciplinary collective made up of more than thirty young European artists and researchers. The collective is process-based, it attaches less importance to the production of a collective work than to establishing and setting in motion a terrain for active interrogation which activates creative 'micro-groups'. One of kom.post's ongoing projects deals with how to create the conditions that allow people to meet, share, and get involved according to their individual needs and questions.

From 1-6 February at transmediale.11, kom.post will be continuing this research via the Wanted and For Sale Office. The office is a place where each visitor to transmediale.11 is welcomed individually and presented with a series of artistic 'guides' that can orient him or her through the festival in a personalized way. They can take the form of a tour with a kom.post guide, with an iPod, or with a personalized booklet which can give information as well as opening up a space for fiction. The tours will also be punctuated by micro performances or micro conferences, offered by kom.post in a different format for each spectator.

Only 6 people from kom.post will be physically present for this proposition and this is not enough for the personalized welcome we imagine for the festival. We are looking for volunteers who share our interest in new forms of participation and would like to help us elaborate and provide these different guide services, we would also like them to be involved in the creation process fight from the start. The exchanges can start now via email!

We are looking for people who will be in Berlin and would have a few hours free twice a week throughout 17-30 January for workshops, and during the festival: 1-6 February.
