Deterritoriale Schlingen is a performance piece and distributed sound environment. Eleven radio micro-transmitters feed a sound system consisting of numerous portable radios tuned to a set of specific frequencies. The listener sculpts the sound space through his own movement. While walking through the space with a radio or going to the various radio transmitters in the space and using them and moving them, one focuses on certain subsets of sound. What is typically a passive broadcast technology is mutated into an interactive communications space.
