Nick Mariette is a spatial audio researcher and sound artist, based in Paris.  Presently he is working on the locative spatial audio project "Sound Delta", with the Sound and Space group at LIMSI-CNRS (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique) in Orsay, France. Nick is also finalising his PhD on the perception of locative spatial audio at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney. His PhD research occurred in conjunction with the AudioNomad project by Dr. Daniel Woo, Prof. Chris Rizos and Dr. Nigel Helyer, which produced several internationally-presented locative sound art works. Nick is also an experimental audio producer working primarily with spatial audio on field recordings, live performance, studio works and installations.  Recently he performed a live, ambisonic version of Alvin Lucier's seminal work, Sitting in a Room, on an 8-channel array for the Raummusik event at Kunstwerk in Cologne.
