Peinliche Ordnung
Peinliche Ordnung shows a man who is reading aloud a chapter about “torture” in 1957 in the Swiss-published book "Total Resistance". The book prescribes measures of guerilla warfare to be taken by ordinary Swiss citizens against a foreign occupation. Because of its detailed content it became the handbook for resistance movements and terrorist groups around the world. The film goes on to instruct an individual who has been captured how to endure torture, instructing and correcting the reader off-screen in an awkward reading style reminiscent of the stumbling of the interrogated.
