FuckGoogle
Google is the most popular site on the World Wide Web and has grown to be much more than just the online search utility. Besides having over 150 domains, dozens of web, browser and desktop applications, a number of the most popular sites on the web (like YouTube), partnerships with multinational multimedia conglomerates, one spy satellite and a mysterious network of telecommunication infrastructure, Google has become a new word in the international lexicon. For transmediale.10, F.A.T. Lab will develop FuckGoogle, a collection of browser add-ons, open source software, theoretical musings and direct actions aimed at creating an awareness of the role Google plays in our daily lives.

In the run-up to transmediale.10 six core authors wrote the festival publication Collaborative Futures as part of the Book Sprint, hosted by transmediale and FLOSS Manuals, in solely five days. Continue here to read it, download it or find out how to buy the printed copy.
