Jussi Parikka is media theorist and Reader in Media & Design at Winchester School of Art (University of Southampton). He writes on software and network culture, media archaeology, and things that do not always fit in – anomalies, perversions, and accidents. Parikka’s books include Digital Contagions (2007) and Insect Media (2010), as well as such edited volumes as The Spam Book (2009), Media Archaeology (2011) and Medianatures (2011). His next book, What is Media Archaeology?, is forthcoming in Spring 2012.
