Jack Stevenson

Jack Stevenson is an American expat living in Denmark since 1993. He taught at cinema operations and film studies courses at The European Film College between 1995 and 1998 and in 2002 wrote the first biography of Lars von Trier to appear in English (for the British Film Institute). His other books on Danish subject matter include "DOGMA UNCUT," "WITCHCRAFT THROUGH THE AGES," and his most recent, "SCANDINAVIAN BLUE" He also specializes cult, underground and exploitation cinema and has edited and/or authored titles such as Addicted, Fleshpot and Land of a Thousand Balconies which explore these fields. He has contributed to English-language publications as diverse as Film Quarterly and Film Threat and has written regularly for the online publication Bright Lights. He has written articles for film magazines from different countries.
