Florian is a researcher, design journalist and caricaturist from Berlin. Currently, he is doing a PhD in Critical Writing in Art & Design at the RCA in London. His thesis investigates the impact of the open-source-movement on design with a focus on the methods of crowdsourcing. Florian has written for eye, form, design report and bauhaus. He is author of the award winning book Parallel Realitäten (2006) on virtual worlds and co-author of the book Kritische Masse (2010) on amateurism in design.
