Thank you for a great Trial Crack!
The first reSource event of 2012 after the transmediale festival was not a crack at all! :)
The event went beyond our expectations, and gathered a very interesting group of active cultural agents and artists living and working in Berlin. During an intense 2-day programme, we discussed and thought together ways of building an interdisciplinary and trans-genre network of artists, hackers, activists and queer practitioners.
On Friday May 11th, more than 50 people joined together the open discussion in the cosy General Public’s conference room. During a hot and sunny Friday afternoon, the intense participation of all the participants, and the lively debate for almost four hours, demonstrated there is space and interest in Berlin for such initiatives – therefore we will repeat the experience in the next reSource 002 event.
On Saturday, the programme continued with content-based debates, which covered all the afternoon: tactics and strategies of sustainable disruption, the concept of Post-Privacy after the emergence of Web 2.0, and the different shifts of the gender-situated communities in Berlin, were intensely discussed by our panelists. We would like to thank all the reSource partners, collaborators, participants, and enthusiasts for making this happen. Soon trial crack videos recorded by our partners from the artistic bokeh project will be available on the transmediale website (www.transmediale.de). Below is a small selection of images, more pictures can be found on our Flickr.
Our next reSource 002 event will take place from August 22 to 24 at Kunstraum Kreuzberg /Bethanien, please stay tuned for further information!
