Lynn Hershman Leeson describes her work as BC (Before Computers) and AD (After Digital). Spanning a 30 year period of working across the full spectrum of creative media this screening draws together some of the most abiding themes in one of the most influential artists working today – identity. Initially a set of ideas mined by feminist artists in the 1960s and 70s, the questions that Hershman’s work addresses, in a speeded-up internet world, have more relevance now than ever before. Among a formidable list of awards and accolades, Lynn Hershman Leeson’s latest film Women Art Revolution consistently wins the audience, demonstrated by the standing ovations!
