Friedrich Lindenberg from Liquid Democracy e.V and the Open Knowedge Foundation invites workshop participants to openly discuss opportunities and challenges of web-based political discourse. The main issues are: Finding ways for citizens to cooperate to establish viable political options, and making political parties and interest groups become more open to their own members and the public in general?

These goals are essential for political groups to succeed in a networked society, but in order to achieve them, radical changes to policy and decision making must be considered. In this workshop participants will learn some of the theoretical concepts which Liquid Democracy e.V have developed along with some of their practical applications such as Adhocracy, a prototype policy-making platform. Participants are invited to present their own visions of cooperative policy, legislative processes and tools, and to discuss critiques and specific case studies.
